Three bits of news to share today, all good:
1) We're up to 55 monsters submitted from backers. Keep 'em coming--we have room for a full 46 monsters, if the judges find enough that clear the bar! The deadline is Sunday at 1 minute to midnight, 23:59, Pacific time. Plenty of time to craft a horrific and utterly apocalyptic creation of your own (at CR 10 or under).

2) Fully 488 playtester GM signed up to run a playtest group! That is a huge number of GMs and an even huger number of players hammering on the first wave of monsters. That's wonderful, since different group find different things to like or to improve, and different play styles show up in the reports as well (a useful correction for designers and editors who may be used to a particular style at their home tables).
Playtest maestro Ben McFarland is gathering up owls and messenger birds by the score, so playtesters, your first packet should arrive later this week. Yes, in time to run a playtest this weekend! (Note: New signups are currently closed until we get the first wave of packets out. They may reopen in February.)
3) First Rewards: the Wrath of the River King PDF has gone out to backers via Kickstarter emails, and likewise the Prepared 2 PDF has gone out to the Deluxe Pack backers and up. Please check your Kickstarter email for the code and link if you backed at the $25, $30, $55 or higher level reward. Hope you enjoy these adventures.

Really pleased to see this heads-up about the project from Geek & Sundry, with lessons learned from TOB by publisher Wolfgang Baur and design notes from designer James Haeck. Always exciting to see the word getting out on big sites!
We have to think every bit helped get the project to today's rolling over to the $200K mark. (Which is still a bit tough to wrap tiny kobold brains around!) Thank you all for sharing the news.
